Call of Duty Vanguard, which was released last year, was not as popular among PC gamers as Activision had hoped. For this reason, Activision hopes to win back the CoD fanbase with the release of Modern Warfare 2 this month. Among the computer games released by Activision, this Modern Warfare series has the highest number of players and the highest number of game hours.
MW2 release date and price
The main developers of this MW2 are the Infinity Ward studio. All previous Modern Warfare games including the original MW2 released in 2009 and the more recent (2019) Modern Warfare were developed by this studio. And several other Activision studios have contributed to the development: Activision Central Design, Activision Central Tech, Activision Localization Dublin, Activision, etc.
MW2 Single-Player Campaign
Captain John Price, Kyle “Gaz” Garrick, Simon “Ghost” Riley, Sergeant John “Soap” MacTavish, who were members of Task Force 141 in Modern Warfare released in 2019, and Colonel Alejandro Vargas have been introduced as a new member.
Here in the campaign mode, operations are seen in America, Europe, and Asia. The mission of Task Force 141 is to stop a terrorist invasion. According to Infinity Ward, it will include underwater battles, aerial attacks, and covert operations. Shadows, lighting, and visual fidelity have been improved over the previous ones in MW2. Also, Infinity Ward has further said that the AI behavior has been improved and the team members have been created to feel like real players.

The major difference is the inclusion of a third-person playlist. From now on, first- and third-person playlists will be separate. And water-based combat has been improved and made more realistic. And with loadout creator Gunsmith, you can do more customization than before.

MW2 Multiplayer Maps
There are two types of multiplayer maps in MW2. That is Core (6v6) and Battle royal. Breenbergh Hotel, Farm 18, Marina Bay Grand Prix, Mercado Las Almas, and Valderas Museum have been introduced as core maps. Also, Sa'id, Santa Seña, and Sariff Bay are introduced as battle royal maps.
MW2 Multiplayer Modes
As mentioned in the maps, you can see Core (6v6) and Battle royal matches as multiplayer modes as well as Team Deathmatch and Domination matches. Infinity Ward is also introducing two new game modes.
- Prisoner Rescue: Here the attackers have to rescue a hostage. Also, the hostage defenders must kill the attackers. In this way, it is divided into two groups.

- Knockout: There is a package in the middle of the map. One must defend it for one minute to win a round. This is what Infinity Ward has introduced as a very fast, very strategic game mode.
Here, a Domination match called Ground War (32v32) has been introduced in the Battle Mode. And as a new introduction, large-scale Team Deathmatch has been introduced. There are 20 human players and 20 AI soldiers competing.
Apart from this, two more competition modes like Special Ops and Raid Mode have been introduced.
MW2 Preorders and Special Editions
In addition to the standard edition, this time Modern Warfare 2 has introduced a new edition called Vault Edition. It will be $100. It contains the following things.
